Barcelona superstar speaks about his future at the club
Gerard Pique has ruled out his interest in playing for any other club, firmly expressing his love for Barcelona by saying it is ‘Barca or nothing’ for him.
The Barcelona-born has revealed that the club is the only one he ever wanted to play for, and will continue to stay with them, negating all rumours of a possible move to MLS.
Barcelona star player renews contract until 2022
He recently signed a new contract extension at the club that will run until 2022, by which he will turn 35.
“I am very happy to celebrate my contract extension. I hope it’s not the last. I feel Barça like it was my home. I hope to finish my career here. I am not interested in playing for another team. It’s Barça or nothing. If I wasn’t wearing the Barça shirt, I would have given up. I play football because I play for Barça”.
