FC Barcelona have made Arsenal right-back Hector Bellerin their number one transfer target and are willing to pay £30million next summer.
The Spain international has cemented his starting place at right-back for the Gunners having left Spanish giants Barcelona at the age of just 16 back in 2011.
Bellerin was heavily linked with a move back to his former club in this summer’s transfer window but Barcelona did not put a solid offer on the table for Arsenal to consider.
Spanish publication Sport report that Barca have doubled their interest and have the made the highly-rated defender their number one transfer target next summer.
The newspaper also claims that the La Liga side would be willing to pay £30m for the player they let go five years ago.
On the 21-year-old, Barca’s vice president Jordi Mestre said: “He’s a great player, there’s no doubt about that.
“Wenger convinced him to move [in 2011] and promised him something which we couldn’t.
“We could not promise him that within two years he would be playing in Dani Alves’ place.” he told Sport.
