Barcelona have targeted Chelsea’s Ramires as part of a major summer transfer spree while their transfer ban is lifted.

Sporting director Andoni Zubizarreta is planning a ‘mini-revolution’ at the Nou Camp, and the Chelsea bad boy is one of the several targets on his list, after a disappointing season for the current Spanish champions, one that is set to leave them empty handed.

Ramires is on the wishlist due to his high energy and work rate. It could mean that the 27 year old has played his last game for Chelsea, after he recieved a four match ban for elbowing Sunderland’s Seb Larsson in Chelsea’s meeting with The Black Cats last week at Stamford Bridge. He will now miss the rest of this season for The Blues.

Ramires cost Chelsea ÂŁ20million from Portuguese powerhouse Benfica in 2010, and is a regualr for Brazil. Barcelona are ready to offer the same price, plus a young player from their team on loan, as they look to strengthen their midfield area.

It is likely that plently of players could be both in and out of the Nou Camp this summer, with former Arsenal midfielder Cesc Fabregas ready to be sacrificed in order to pave the way for new signings.
