United midfielder ties the knot with Ava Ivanovic
Manchester United midfielder Bastian Schweinsteiger married tennis ace Ana Ivanovic in Italy on Tuesday.
The couple, who have been together since 2014, tied the knot at the stunning Venice City Hall, departing from the venue in style as they left by boat along the Grand Canal.
The wedding comes less than a week after Germany were sent crashing out of Euro 2016 by France, while Ivanovic also suffered her own sporting disappointment after she was knocked out of Wimbledon in the first round.
Schweinsteiger signed for United a year ago from Bayern Munich but one and off injuries have lead him to struggle getting into the team, and now the manager who bought him, Louis van Gaal, has been sacked.
However, despite the appointment of Jose Mourinho, no rumours linking the German with a move away from Old Trafford have surfaced as yet.
