Bayern Munich won the Club World Cup last night.
It gave the club their sixth title of the season during 2020 and in the history of the club, it is their most successful outing.
Moreover, the way in which they won has made it only more deserving. Their boss Hansi Flick has now lost less matches, only 5, and won more trophies, 6.
That is a record of a champion who knows what he is doing with his team.
“Congratulations to my team,” Flick said. “They have completed a historical feat, they have won six titles in one season.
“Even for the successful club that is FC Bayern München, this was the most successful season ever. The team played outstandingly.
“The win was never in danger, we dominated and deservedly won the final.
“It was very difficult for me as well, we were all at the limit, the same goes for me at the touchline. The match against Tigres was on eye-level, even though we dominated.
“They deserved to be in this final.”
Bayern have more to come as they are in the lead again in the league and are doing well in Europe as well.
They will want to defend both titles come summer.
