Bayern Munich have come back with a refurbished £30m bid for Chelsea’s Callum Hudson-Odoi.
The Bavarians saw their previous offers of £13.5m and £20m get rejected by Maurizio Sarri but their most recent ones might be far too good to pass up on. The new deal also includes add-on clauses which could see Chelsea earn even more from the transfer later on.
The South London club have just paid £58m for Borussia Dortmund winger, Christian Pulisic. With the USA International’s introduction into the club next season, Hudson-Odoi’s playing time might get further restricted.
The 18-year-old has seen just 317 minutes worth of action this season during which he has scored 1 and assisted 1. Hudson-Odoi is one of the most promising youngsters to come out of the Chelsea academy and yet is unable to fit into Sarri’s squad.
The Italian boss decided to leave Hudson-Odoi out of the squad completely for the 0-0 draw against Southampton. The winger is highly ambitious and has only 18 months left in his Chelsea contract.
He has already refused to sign a new deal with the club and that could force Sarri to cash in on him. The Englishman represents his country in the U19 levels and has bags of talent under his boots.
He could follow into the footsteps of compatriots, Jadon Sancho and Reiss Nelson to grow professionally.
