Bayern Munich set to make Khedira bid

Bayern Munich are eyeing up a cut-price move for Chelsea and Arsenal target Sami Khedira following the long-term injury suffered by Javi Martinez. Real Madrid have reportedly lowered their asking price for the German, in the hope of offloading him this summer.

Munich have already been linked with a move for Khedira once this summer, but denied they would make a bid. However, with Martinez now out of action for the next few months, boss Pep Guardiola could be about to change his mind.

According to Bild, Guardiola will now make a bid to sign the midfielder this week, with Madrid willing to sell him for just ÂŁ8m. Chelsea have pulled out of a move for Khedira this summer, as they would much rather sign him on a free transfer next year.

But Real Madrid want cash now and have reduced their asking price for the player in the hope of selling him this month, rather than letting him go for nothing next summer. This means that if Bayern do now make a bid, it would surely be accepted.
