Bayern are concerned about the health of Manuel Neuer

Bayern Munich will look to sign Barcelona goalkeeper Marc-Andre ter Stegen this summer, claims Don Balon.

Bayern are concerned about the health of their first choice Goalkeeper Manuel Neuer. The German has missed most of the season due to a foot injury that he suffered last september. Though he has returned back to first team and resumed light training but the club are looking at another goalkeeper to ease the pressure on him.

The German giants are looking at possibility of bringing Barcelona’s Marc-Andre ter Stergen this summer. He is their first choice goalkeeper now and has put some impressive performances for them since he joined them from Borussia Monchengladbach. In Neuer’s absence, the 26 year old is also the first choice goalkeeper for his National team Germany.

Stergen signed a new contract last may, keeping him at the club until 2022, with his buyout clause raised to €180 million. But Bayern  are preparing a €100 million bid for the German International and believes it would be enough to convince Barcelona to sell him this summer.

Stergen joined Barcelona from Borussia Monchengladbach for €12 million, signing a 5 year contract on 19 May 2014. His buy out clause was set for  €80 million that time.
