If reports from French outlet L’Equipe are to be believed, Bayern Munich are keen on signing Monaco full-back Benjamin Henrichs this summer. The German joined Monaco from Bayer Leverkusen last summer for €20m on a five-year contract.
Henrichs was a regular starter in the beginning but gradually fell out of favour as the season progressed. Even so, the 22-year-old managed to make 29 appearances for Monaco in all competitions.
The Bavarians are ready to offer €25m for the player but Monaco are holding him out for €35m. Buying Henrichs would increase Bayern’s squad depth in defence. His ability to operate both as a left-back and right-back would make him the ideal cover to Joshua Kimmich and David Alaba at the Allianz Arena.
