Bayern Munich Willing To 'Wait' For Manchester City Ace

Bayern Munich chairman, Karl-Heinz Rummenigge admitted that his club will have to “wait and see” if Leroy Sane will join them from Manchester City this summer.

The 23-year-old has been picked as one of the top targets to replace Arjen Robben or Frank Ribery at the Allianz Arena. The dynamic duo left the Bavarians this summer after a long and rewarding period.

Bayern already have Serge Gnabry and Kinglsey Koman in their ranks but are holding out for a third attacking addition. Both president, Uli Hoeness and manager, Niko Kovac has spoken highly of Leroy Sane, following his performances in the Premier League and for his national team.

The winger could be unhappy with life at the Etihad after seeing his game time cut short this past season. Sane made 31 appearances in the Premier League last term but only 21 were starts.

“He wanted to think about his future on holiday. We have to wait and see if something moves on. We are ready,” Rummenigge told Bild. “The transfer window is open until September 2. Nothing has been decided at all yet. The spatial distance will, of course, increase [because of the USA trip], but that’s no problem at all.”

Bayern are reportedly also chasing Barcelona’s Ousmane Dembele.
