Kimmich has agreed a three-year contract extension with Bayern München.
Joshua Kimmich (23) has agreed a three-year contract extension with FC Bayern München keeping him at the club until 30 June 2023. The Germany international’s current deal was originally set to expire on 30 June 2020.
“Over the last two and a half years, Joshua has developed into a mainstay of our team,” commented FC Bayern München AG chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge. “That’s why we’re extremely pleased we’ve secured his services for the long term. Thanks to his exceptionally positive progress in the right-back position, FC Bayern has achieved a seamless transition to the future.”
Joshua Kimmich joined FC Bayern from Leipzig at the beginning of the 2015/16 season. He has made 109 competitive appearances for the German record champions so far, scoring 13 goals.
He became a Germany international in that time. He was in the Germany squad for the EURO 2016 in France and won the FIFA Confederations Cup in Russia last year.
