Belgium’s massive wins over Scotland and Iceland has led to their rise to the top of the new FIFA rankings. Belgium and France both share the top spot. This is the first time in the history of the FIFA rankings that two teams share the top spot.

The only other change in the top 10 is Denmark dropping to 10th. The Danes won their Nations League opener against Wales 2-0 but lost a friendly against Slovakia 3-0 before that.

World Cup runners-up Croatia remain in 4th place despite their 6-0 drubbing against Spain. Spain’s massive win doesn’t see them move anywhere in the rankings either. They remain 9th. Germany moved 3 places up to 12th. Sweden’s defeats to Austria and Turkey saw them slide two places down to 15th.

Italy moved one place up to 20th despite their lackluster showing in the Nations League. The Azzurri drew 1-1 against Poland before losing 1-0 to Portugal.

Ukraine were the best movers while Ghana were the worst movers. Ukraine moved 6 places up to 29th while Ghana moved 6 places down to 51st.
