Owner Aurelio De Laurentiis went into the team dressing room to criticise the players after Sunday night’s 2-0 defeat to Milan.
Napoli are now sitting 12 points behind leaders Juventus in Serie A, and failed to qualify for the Champions League.
Gazzetta dello Sport claims today that “the probabilities that Benitez will stay are close to zero”.
The former Liverpool and Chelsea coach, 54, won the Coppa Italia in his first season at Napoli last season.
