Napoli boss Rafa Benitez is aiming to bring Liverpool defender Glen Johnson to the Serie A side, and reunite with the unsettled right-back.

Johnson, who played under Rafa at Anfield between 2009 and Benitez’s departure in 2010, is reportedly unsettled at the Reds.

He has made almost 150 appearances for the club since joining from Portsmouth in 2009.

Johnson’s contract is up at the end of the season, and Benitez could decide to make a move in the January transfer window.

When asked about his future, Johnson said:

“Like you said it’s very quiet. I am just concentrating week by week and not thinking about it.

“Of course I want to stay, yeah. But like I say I worry about this week, this week and then next week, next week. That is how I live my life.”

Benitez may also make a move for Manchester City midfielder James MIlner.
