Saido Berahino ,who has been called up by England for the two games against Slovenia and Scotland this week, has been offered a new five year deal at West Brom and talks are at an advanced stage.
The baggies increased his wages last year from £800 a week to £15,000 a week. The latest deal that has been offerd to him includes a further two years added on to his current deal and an increase in his wages to £40,000 a week.
One of the main reasons for this deal is to ward off interest from big clubs such as Liverpool, Manchester United, Tottenham and Everton. Another reason is to ensure that the baggies recieve a significant amount of money for the striker if he were to leave in the next few years.
