Manchester City star Bernardo Silva has insisted that the reigning Premier League champions stand a realistic chance of winning the quadruple this season. The Citizens overturned a 2-0 deficit to win their FA Cup quarterfinal clash against Swansea City by 3-2, with the Portuguese midfielder scoring the first of their three goals with a powerful shot to start the onslaught in the second half.
Speaking to the media after the match, Silva said, “Now it’s the international break and we’ll try to come back fit to try and go for the other three competitions.”
He added, “We know it [the quadruple] is difficult because our opponents are strong. Playing the Champions League which is probably the most difficult competition in Europe, the Premier League is very tight with Liverpool. The FA Cup, everything can happen. We will try to go 100% to the three of them knowing that we can win the three, we can lose the three.”
Silva concluded, “Everything will happen within a month and a half. We’ll try to be at our best.”
