Manchester City midfielder Bernardo Silva has revealed Life has become a lot easier in this season.

The Portuguese international has burst into the starting lineup as he has managed four starts in five matches in the Premier League this season. Pep Guardiola’s side have had a near perfect start to the season as they were held to a draw by newly promoted side Wolves.

Following his summer arrival from Monaco last year he was expected to be used quite heavily by the gaffer but he had a limited number of appearances as he seemed to be adapting to the Premier League life.

But this season the player has been more directly involved and with a number of tough fixtures lining up ahead Guardiola will be relying heavily on the player. Silva said, ‘The second season is always easier than the first one. When you change it’s always more difficult.

“You have to adapt to the way your team plays, you have to adapt to your team-mates, to the league, to the referees.

“Obviously I have more confidence, I feel better with the team and I hope I can do better than last season.

“I’m happy because I’m helping the team and that I’m feeling well, I just hope that I can continue this way.

“I can play either in the centre or wide, I can do whatever the manager thinks is best for the team. It depends on the games, I feel comfortable both ways.”
