Besiktas are going ahead with a bid to persuade Chelsea striker Samuel Eto’o to join them in summer. It is expected the striker will be pushed to the side after this season, when Mourinho plans to bring in a new striker.
Besiktas have already sent officials over to London to discuss a possible deal with the Stamford Bridge side and a contract of around £6.5m a year has been discussed for the player. This seems to be agreed and all that is left to do is discuss a fee for Eto’o.
The Turkish side have also registered interest in Joleon Lescott and Bafetimbi Gomis who are both available on a free.
