Mega-rich African wants to buy Arsenal and make changes
African billionaire Allko Dangote wants to buy Arsenal Football Club and then make drastic changes on the management staff, including replacing Arsene Wenger for former-captain Patrick Vieira.
The Nigerian businessman has recently admitted how he would love to buy the North London based club, and has revealed what changes he would make at the helm if he were to take over at the Emirates Stadium.
Vieira and Henry
Dangote, who is worth £10billion, has admitted that he would immediately replace Wenger with former-midfielder and current youth manager at Manchester City, Vieira.
He would also make Thierry Henry the club’s assistant after the Frenchman retired from the game. The former-Arsenal striker is currently working as a pundit for Sky Sports.
Speaking in a recent interview, Dangote reiterated his desire to buy the club and insisted that he would make changes if he could persuade the current owners to sell.

‘Wenger needs to change his style a bit. They need a new direction,’ he said. ‘I still hope I will buy the team. I might buy it, not at a ridiculous price but a price that the owners won’t want to resist. I know my strategy.’
The African then continued by confirming he wants the former-players to take over from Wenger, whilst the Frenchman takes a role on the board.
Plans For Future
‘The plan would be to get Patrick and Thierry on the coaching staff for a period before giving them the reins and with Arsene taking a place on the board and eventually becoming chairman.’
