There have strong rumours circulating this week that Juventus are keen to sign the Portuguese and are preparing a lucrative €120 million bid for him, with a salary package of €30 million a year.
The Italian side’s midfielder Blaise Matuidi has claimed that he would relish working with the former Manchester United star as he is one of the best players in the world but the Frenchman is currently focusing on the World Cup campaign.
“I’m not going to lie it would be just great,” he said as quoted by Goal. “It would be great to have one of the best players in the world with Juventus in the same club that I am.
“It would be great for the club and for the Juventus players.
“However, today I’m a player of the French national team and we have bigger fish to fry, no?”
The 31 year old is currently on duty with France National Team in Russia and will face Uruguay in the quarter-finals after beating Argentina 4-3 in the Round of 16.
