Boca Juniors forward, Jonathan Calleri, could leave the Buenos Aries outfit next January, in favour of a move to Chelsea, the club’s president, Daniel Angelici, has claimed.

The 22-year-old has netted 21 times for the Argentine giants this season, having formed a prolific partnership with Carlos Tevez.

Calleri played a key role in Boca’s title victory recently – as they won their 31st league championship.

Chelsea are in the lookout for recruitment in the next transfer window, and Mourinho will turn to another South American to solve his forward issues, in what has been a stuttering start to the Premier League season.

And now, Juniors’ president, Daniel Angelica, has revealed a move to England may be on the cards.

‘He could be sold at Christmas as there are good offers and we don’t want to stand in his way,’ admitted Angelici.

‘But at the moment, no deal has been closed and there is only chatter.’
