Former-player wants assistants role

Bolo Zenden has admitted that he would be interested in taking over as assistant manager at Liverpool.

The Reds recently sacked Colin Pascoe after a poor campaign, despite keeping Brendan Rodgers on board, and they are now searching for a new assistant.

Speaking in his homeland, the former-Liverpool midfielder admitted that no contact had been made between himself or the club, but if he were to be offered the job, he’d like to take it.

Zenden Discusses Role

He told Dutch magazine Voetbal International: “It is something that people have linked me with.

“But I have not spoken directly with anyone at Liverpool.

Time at Liverpool

Zenden spent two years playing for Liverpool, from 2005 to 2007, making 23 Premier League appearances and scoring two goals.

He won three trophies during his time at Anfield, winning the European Super Cup, the FA Cup and the Community Shield.

Assistant Experience

Since retiring, Zenden has had two assistant manager positions. One with Chelsea and one with Jong PSV.
