A bookmaker has suspended betting on Chelsea boss Antonio Conte getting sacked. Conte has only been in the job 4 months.
Betway have revealed that they have taken a lot of bets on the Chelsea boss getting relieved of his duties from Stamford Bridge today.
Betways Alan Alger said “Our traders are on red alert after a flurry of telling bets on Antonio Conte being the next Premier League manager to leave their post were placed this afternoon.
“We’ve now suspended betting on Conte getting the sack.”
Conte, 47, only took charge of Chelsea four months ago and been in charge for just 9 games.
He was brought in as a permanent replacement for Jose Mourinho at the start of the summer after he was sacked in December.
This will come as a surprise to Chelsea fans, but Roman Abramovich, Chelsea owner, is known for his lack of patience with managers.
Chelsea have made no comment on the situation so far.
