Fabio Borini’s move to Sunderland could be back on after Sunderland held fresh talks witht the Liverpool striker.
The Black cats offered the Reds £14million for the Italian striker earlier in July, after he had a successful oan period at the Stadium of Light last season. When the offer was accepted it was thought that Borini’s future would lie in he North-East.
However, the 23-year-old joined Liverpool in the USA for their pre-season tour, only to suffer a shoulder injury and return to the UK for treament. He has since spoken to Sunderland but the injury codul be a major factor.
Liverpool now may want to keep hold of Borini after target and the move broke down. Sunderland bos Gus Poyet is keen to bring the Italian to the club but does not want the transfer negotiations to drag out beyond the start of the season.
