Putting an end to all speculations Paco Alcacer has joined Borussia Dortmund permanently.
The switch will complete once the transfer window opens in January. Barcelona are entitled to receive €23m alongside €5m in add ons. Also if Alcacer prefers to join any other club in future the La Liga giants will receive 5% of any future transfer fee.
Alcacer initially joined Dortmund on a season long loan but his excellent form compelled the club hierarchy to rush his signing as the 25 year old has been a key figure in Dortmund’s unbeaten start to the Bundesliga campaign.
Alcacer expressed his happiness on completing the permanent transfer. “I’m very happy in Dortmund, at BVB and in this wonderful team.
“Borussia Dortmund was and is exactly the right decision for me. I’ll do everything I can to say thank you for your trust!”
Sporting director Michael Zorc confirmed the development. “Today we informed Barcelona that we will take the option to buy Paco.
“Paco is wholeheartedly with us, he has quickly integrated and has become an integral part of our squad. He is a real scorer of high footballing quality, and has already decided some important games for us.
“We look forward to many more goals and assists from Paco in the coming years.”
