Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho has revealed that defender Branisvlav Ivanovic has forgotten about the incident with Liverpool striker Luis Suarez that took place last season.
The Uruguayan was banned for ten-games after he appeared to bite the Serbian centre-back during last year’s 2-2 encounter near the end of last season, and as the two teams prepare to go head-to-head tomorrow, Mourinho has spoken about that incident.
The Portuguese has revealed that his centre-back will shake hands with the Liverpool striker and has moved on from what took place last year.
“This was a big thing, but Iva thinks it’s something from the past,” said Mourinho.
“Everyone moves on – he’s moved on.
“I think Iva is a big guy. When I say ‘big guy’, I mean big, strong heart, big strong personality.
“He’s not a Mickey Mouse player who complains at little things.”
