The Barcelona goalkeeper has arrived in Manchester ahead of a move

Man City have gone a step closer to landing Claudio Bravo after the player arrived in Manchester ahead of a medical.

According to reports, a deal to bring the goalkeeper to the Etihad is well underway and is close to completion, with the current Barcelona shot-stopper currently in Manchester to undergo a medical today.

City have been on the lookout to bring in a new number one, with Joe Hart becoming an outcast at the Etihad. He has become the second-choice in goal, with new boss Pep Guardiola instead deciding to play Willy Caballero.

Hart set to depart

With Hart also set to leave the club – with Everton believed to be extremely interested – Guardiola has been looking to bring in a new goalkeeper.

He may have found it with Claudio Bravo, who could play to the sweeper-keeper style that the new boss wants and could also jump straight into the first-team spot, pushing Caballero back to the bench.

The Chile international has featured quite heavily for Barcelona in Spain since his move, featuring over 40 times for the club last season and already making three appearances for the Catalan giants this season.

But, with Ter-Stegen available to take his place, Barca are seemingly willing to let him leave and a deal could be completed very soon to send the player to Man City if all goes well with his medical.
