Arsene Wenger confirms Chilean won’t be back until New Year
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has confirmed Alexis Sanchez won’t be back in action until the New Year.
The Chilean was pictured back in first-team training this week, and was potentially set to be fit in time for tonight’s game against Manchester City.
However, speaking after the 2-1 victory, Wenger confirmed Alexis wouldn’t be back in action until January 10th.
Confirmed Blow
After praising his team’s performance throughout the 90-minutes, Wenger was asked about the forward, and he confirmed:Â “Alexis Sanchez will not be back until the 10th of January or so.”
The news will be a big blow to Arsenal and will dampen the mood slightly following their vital win.
