Two clubs reach agreement over loan deal

Chelsea and AS Monaco have reportedly reached an agreement which will see Radamel Falcao join the Premier League champions on a season-long loan.

The two clubs have been in talks in recent weeks regarding a potential deal, and now according to Sky Sources, a deal has been agreed and will now be finalised.

Falcao is currently away on international duty with Colombia, taking part in the Copa America, but he is expected to travel back to England after the competition finishes in order to finalise his move to Stamford Bridge.

The Colombian spent last season on loan at Manchester United, but failed to impress, scoring just four goals throughout the campaign.

Chelsea Needed Striker

However, Jose Mourinho is desperate to help the striker re-find his old-form and is prepared to take a gamble on him ahead of the new season.

It will be a loan deal for the season with a view of making it permanent this time next year.

Chelsea are in need of a new striker after Didier Drogba announced his decision to leave the club.

More to follow.
