Jose Mourinho has club’s full support
Chelsea Football Club have confirmed that Jose Mourinho has their full support despite their poor start to the campaign.
The Blues lost again on Saturday, this time to Southampton at Stamford Bridge, but after having a crisis meeting with the board, Mourinho was told his job was safe.
Chelsea currently sit 16th in the Premier League, just a few months after winning it, but despite the poor start, the club fully support the Portuguese.
Formal Statement
They released the following statement on the club’s official website:
“The club wants to make it clear that Jose continues to have our full support.
“As Jose has said himself, results have not been good enough and the team’s performances must improve. However, we believe that we have the right manager to turn this season around and that he has the squad with which to do it.”
