Cristiano Ronaldo has tested positive for CoVID-19.
The Portuguese superstar has become the latest big-name footballer to have been infected with the virus.
The player is asymptomatic but will nonetheless have to self isolate for the next 10 days. He has been called off from the national team camp and will be unavailable to face Sweden.
Ronaldo already played France in the last round and players from the Portugal camp and French national team squad had to and will have to undergo CoVID tests to ensure that nobody else is affected with the virus.
The Portuguese camp has come out with some good news claiming that nobody barring CR7 has tested positive.
Ronaldo will be expecting to beat the virus sooner rather than later as the stage has been set for a mouth watering clash between Barcelona and Juventus in the group stages of the UEFA Champions League 2020-21 season.
The match is scheduled to take place in 15 days, in what will be a clash of the two legends after two years since CR7 left Real Madrid for Turin.
Ronaldo will not only want to return action for that but all of Champions League and football fans will be waiting fingers crossed to ensure that nothing sinister happens to the legend of the game in the long run.
