Liverpool striker set to miss Christmas period?
According to reports, Liverpool striker Daniel Sturridge has suffered yet another injury setback following his brief cameo against Newcastle United on Sunday.
The England international only played the final half-an-hour, but that was seemingly enough time to see him pick up another injury.
According to early reports, Sturridge suffered a hamstring injury during the 2-0 loss to Newcastle at St James’ Park, and he could be looking at another month on the sidelines.
Usual hamstring problems keep players out for around three weeks, but as of yet, it’s not understood what kind of issue Sturridge is having.
This will come as a massive blow to Jurgen Klopp and Liverpool after they just welcomed back the star-striker, who netted twice against Southampton in the Capital One Cup.
The latest injury leaves Klopp with just Christian Benteke and Divock Origi as striker options for the busy period.
