Arsenal forward leaves the club after agreeing personal terms
Galatasaray have announced the deal to sign Arsenal forward Lukas Podolski.
As reported earlier by SillySeason, the German World Cup winner was pictured arriving in Turkey earlier today and after successfully undergoing a medical, his move has now been finalised.
Arsenal will receive £2.8million for the deal.
Podolski’s End at Arsenal
Podolski fell down the pecking order at the Emirates Stadium over the summer once Danny Welbeck and Alexis Sanchez arrived from Manchester United and FC Barcelona respectively.
The German international spent the second half of the season out on loan in Italy with Serie A side Inter Milan.
However, the 30-year-old initially planned on returning to Arsenal for the 2015/2016 campaign, but after holding talks with Arsene Wenger, he was told he wouldn’t be in the first-team set-up.
Podolski scored two goals against the Super Lig side earlier this season in the Champions League.
