Arsenal star will undergo surgery on hairline fracture
Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere will undergo surgery on a hairline fracture in his leg.
The injury-prone centre-mid is once again expected to be out of action for several months after being told he needs to have surgery which could involve a metal plate being inserted in his leg.
Wilshere has been struck with injuries for the past few seasons and after ending the last campaign on form for both club and country, it looked like he was finally ready to push on with his career.
Surgery Required
However, an injury early in the season lead to him being sidelined and it’s now been revealed he will have to have surgery on his leg.
Wilshere becomes the second Arsenal player to have surgery already this season following Danny Welbeck‘s work on his knee.
A timescale hasn’t been put on Wilshere’s recovery yet, but it’s looking likely he’ll be out for the rest of the calendar year.
