The saga is finally over, as Neymar is set to pen a deal with Barcelona.

It is Barcelona, not Real Madrid, who have agreed a deal to sign Paris Sain’t Germain’s want-away star Neymar.

UPDATE:

Barcelona will pay cash and include several players in the deal for Neymar. Barcelona’s talented youngster Jean-Clair Todibo, veteran Ivan Rakitic and troublesome Ousmane Dembele will move to the French capital. Whilst, the former and the latter have already agreed a deal in principle with Paris Saint-Germain, it remains to be seen if Dembele will also reach an agreement.

There is an economic agreement between Barcelona and PSG, but the clubs’ intermediaries are still working on finalizing the last details of the move.

The Catalan giants were desperate all summer to bring back the man they lost in a stunning €200 million raid just two seasons ago. On the cards for Neymar was a return to the former side, or a new sensational move to their arch rivals, Real Madrid.

However, eventually the saga has reached its end as Sky Italia reveals that Barcelona have reached an agreement with Neymar, with only the official signature missing. The official announcement by the clubs and the player is expected to happen in the coming hours.

Further details are yet to be revealed, but the Spanish side were understood to be offering players plus cash to bring the Brazilian superstar back, with Ivan Rakitic, Nelson Semedo and Ousmane Dembele touted as potential makeweights. Few days ago, Dembele’s agent threw cold water on the reports when he said his client was “100 per cent staying”.

Asked yesterday about the talks, Barcelona director Javier Bordas told reporters in Spain: “We are getting closer.” Barca chiefs were dreaming of a lethal front four featuring Neymar, Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez and Antoine Griezmann and have now delivered it to current boss Ernesto Valverde.
