Norwich City winger, Elliot Bennett is set for a spell on the side-lines after it has been revealed he has a knee injury. Chris Hughton revealed in his interview today that Bennett had sustained a knee injury that would keep him out of contention ‘for a few months.’ The extent of the injury has not been explained as of yet but it appears to be very bad news for the winger.
Bennett took to twitter saying ‘Gutted to be out with a knee injury. Luckily I have great medical staff at the club and best people around me to get me through this tough time.’ He went on to say, ‘will use this bad time to improve, I will comeback stronger, faster and better as a player and person. Thanks for your messages,’
Bennett had a very promising start to his season with a very impressive display in the Canaries opening Premier League game at home to Everton. He terrorised Everton’s full backs and also had the ability to cover his full backs, he will be a missed asset at Norwich.
