Brazilian signs new contract keeping him at club until 2019
Chelsea Football Club have announced that Ramires has signed a new deal until 2019.
The Brazilian midfielder has been at the club for five years now, since arriving from Portuguese side Benfica, and during that time, he’s become a real fan favourite at Stamford Bridge.
Ramires has made 241 appearances for the Premier League champions, winning all there is in the game with the West London club, and after the news broke, he spoke to the club’s official website.
Statement
The 28-year-old said: ‘I am very happy to sign a new contract with Chelsea.
‘My family and I are very happy here in London and in the past five years the club has lifted every major trophy. I hope to be an important part of many more successes in the next four years.’
