The Potters to sign Swiss star for ÂŁ12million

Stoke City have agreed a fee with Inter Milan for winger Xherden Shaqiri.

The Swiss international only joined the San Siro club earlier this year, but according to Sky Sports News, a deal has been agreed between the two club.

According to reports, Stoke will pay Inter ÂŁ12m for the 23-year-old and it’s now down to Shaqiri to agree personal terms with the Premier League side and then undergo a medical.

Previous Interest in Shaqiri

Shaqiri has been wanted by both Manchester United and Liverpool in recent seasons, but it looks like he may be set to link up with Bojan at the Britannia Stadium.

The Switzerland international had a superb World Cup in 2014, but still failed to break into Bayern Munich‘s first-team, due to Arjen Robben and Franck Ribery playing as wingers, but after securing a move to Inter, it looked like Shaqiri was set for regular first-team football.

Stoke City Set to Sign

Despite playing often for the Serie A side, he is now set to fly to England in order to discuss personal terms with Mark Hughes and the Stoke board.

Shaqiri would be Stoke’s fourth summer signing, following Jakob Haugaard, Philipp Wollscheid and Joselu.
