City captain to miss 2nd leg of quarter final

Manchester City captain Vincent Kompany will miss his team’s Champions League quarter final 2nd leg vs PSG with a calf injury.

It was an injury the Belgian picked up in City’s round of 16 clash vs Dynamo Kiev, and he’s been training today to try and prove his fitness, but Manuel Pelligrini has decided he cannot risk the centre-back.

“He is not 100 per cent. It is not possible,” Pellegrini told reporters ahead of Tuesday’s game.

Pellegrini confirmed Raheem Sterling remains sidelined through injury but offered a more positive update on the fitness of Nicolas Otamendi.
The Argentine is in City’s squad to face PSG and looks set to feature against Laurent Blanc’s side despite twisting his ankle in the 2-1 win over West Brom at the weekend.
