Striker in tears on Wembley pitch
Wilfried Zaha has been ruled out of tonight’s FA Cup final.
The Palace winger was set to line up against his old club but will not feature after failing to reach full fitness in time having missed the last three matches through injury.
Zaha was in tears on the Wembley pitch as he was consoled by teammates 90 minutes before kick-off at the national stadium.
The 23-year-old burst on to the scene with Palace as a youngster before getting his move to United in 2013.
He failed to establish himself in the first team at Old Trafford, spending two loan spells back with Palace and another with Cardiff before returning to Selhurst Park permanently in 2015.
Palace are looking to win a first ever FA Cup at Wembley while United are looking to rescue an otherwise disappointing campaign.
The Red Devils missed out on the top four and Champions League football next season and suffered early exits from both the Champions League and Europa League.
