Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers has hit back at former-Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson, after the Scotsman said that he believes The Reds are eight players away from winning the Premier League title.
In his new autobiography, that has took the footballing world by storm this week, Ferguson claimed that Liverpool are not genuine title contenders yet and cannot be considered in the title race until they sign some more world-class players.
However, Rodgers disagrees with Ferguson and has hit back by saying, if Liverpool are eight players away, United are at least 10.
‘That’s probably two short of what they need. We need eight, they need 10.’
