Garry Monk is under real pressure at Liberty Stadium

Brendan Rodgers is being linked with a shock return to the Liberty Stadium as pressure continues to mount on current manager Garry Monk.

The Swans have been on a woeful run of form, winning just one out of their last 10-games, leaving them 15th in the table and just one point above the relegation zone.

Swansea fell to yet another defeat over the weekend as table-toppers brushed them aside thanks to a Riyad Mahrez hat-trick at the Liberty Stadium, and after the game, Monk admitted he has no idea what’s gone wrong at the club.

Monk Clueless

“Those of you who know me will know I will never walk away, never. No one knows the principles of the club more than myself and no one will fight harder than myself,” he said.

“Of course I am worried. It is not a good situation that we are in. We are in a situation where people need to step up to the plate now.

“It is so frustrating. I don’t know what more I can do. I am trying to find all the ways to make it better and produce and this is very frustrating.”

Potential Replacements

Swansea are desperate to stand by the manager, who’s shown 12-years of service as a player and now manager, but time is running out as potential replacements are being named.

One of the possible replacements is former-boss Brendan Rodgers, who is out of work after losing his job at Liverpool.

Rodgers managed Swansea for two-years from 2010 to 2012, guiding them to the Premier League before leaving to join Liverpool.
