Brendan Rodgers is confident Leicester City can hurt Manchester City’s title ambitions.
The foxes are scheduled to travel to Manchester on Monday and will definitely fancy their chances against the English champions. On the back of a dominating win over Arsenal, they would certainly go for the kill when they take on Pep Guardiola’s side.
Rodgers’ former employer Liverpool are also in the fray for a Premier League title after 29 years and would be hoping for some favour from their former manager. Jurgen Klopp’s side could lay their hands on the trophy but for that City must drop points in either of their remaining games which are looking a bit difficult at this moment.
Rodgers said, “Naturally the Liverpool supporters will look at it as maybe an opportunity.
“With our current form and how we’ve worked they’ll see it as a possibility and, with the players we have, we can see it as a possibility. With the players we have we know we can score goals.
“For us, we need to be involved and play our part in it. They’re exciting games to be involved in.
“It’s one where you have to look after our own house, make sure that’s in order and see what happens after that if the football gods shine on you.”
