Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers insists Raheem Sterling’s future at Anfield is in the hands of the the club’s American owners.
Sterling revealed in a recent interview that he had turned down ÂŁ100,000-a-week to extend his current deal at the club.
However, his manager has confidence that the Fenway Sports Group will handle the England international’s future accordingly.
Rodgers believes that the FSG will either tie the 20-year old down to an improved deal or move him on for a huge fee, preferably ÂŁ50 million.
Sterling is currently contracted to a deal until 2017, earning himself ÂŁ35,000-a-week at the Merseyside club.
