Liverpool boss not fearing the sack

Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers is not worried for his job and doesn’t believe a loss in the Merseyside Derby would change anything either.

The Reds travel to Goodison Park tomorrow lunch-time for the Merseyside Derby, and with mounting pressure on Rodgers from the fans, it’s deemed a must-win for the Northern Irishman.

However, Rodgers sees things differently.

The former-Swansea City boss is adamant his job isn’t under pressure and he doesn’t believe a loss to Everton would change things either.

No Pressure on Rodgers

When asked in his press conference whether he is feeling worried about the fall-out if they lose tomorrow, Rodgers said: “No, no, not at all, not at all.

“We will go into the game with every notion to perform and win well. If we get a wee bit of luck, if we earn a bit of good fortune, we can win the game.

“I am not worried and that is not being arrogant, or having been given any assurances. I will do my best with what I am working with and our notion is to win the game.

“It is about rebuilding a group again, new players and going again.”

Possible Replacements

Jurgen Klopp, Carlo Ancelotti and Frank de Boer are three names that have been linked with taking over at Anfield if Rodgers does get the sack.
