Former Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers has been linked with Aston Villa
Rodgers was sacked last week by Liverpool, but could be in line for an immediate return to Premier League management
Aston Villa have made a horrific start to the season and presently sit in the relegation zone.
Current manager Tim Sherwood is under fire at Villa Park, winning just a solitary match this campaign.
He has reportedly been given two games to save his job, of which are against champions Chelsea and Swansea.
According to The Sun, should Sherwood fail to lead Villa to a victory in either of the two matches, he will be sacked and replaced by Rodgers.
