Brendan Rodgers has today spoken about Loic Remy’s failed move to Anfield. The striker’s £8.5m move to Liverpool collapsed yesterday, with reports claiming it was due to a failed medical.
But QPR boss Harry Redknapp hit out at Liverpool as he said the Frenchman is ‘a very fit lad’. While Rodgers didn’t clear up why the move fell through, he did admit to feeling sorry for Remy.
The Reds boss said: “We have made a decision, as a club, not to go ahead with the deal. It’s unfortunate for the player. We are disappointed for the player. But these things happen.
“It’s happened before and there’s nothing more to be said and we will move on and look at other targets.”
