Liverpool failed to win a single game in November. putting mass pressure on the Red Boss from the fans and media.

With four straight defeats followed by a gruelling 2-2 draw at Ludogorets, this convinced some Liverpool fans it was time for Rodgers to leave.

But this is not the case for CEO Ian Ayre who has come to the Reds Boss defence:

“There was no speculation on our part,” Ayre told Sky Sports.

“Lose a few games and the whole world turns but certainly not within this football club and our fan base.

“The manager has great support, we work as one team, we are all together, nobody’s running scared and we are very pleased.”

Liverpool currently sit eighth in the Premier League ahead of Saturday’s home tie with Sunderland.

They require a win over Basel in their final Group B game next week to qualify for the Champions League last 16.
