Brighton defender Leon Balogun hails Hazard as unstoppable

Chelsea claimed all three points with a 2-1 win over Brighton and Hove Albion at the Amex Stadium in the Premier League on Sunday. Eden Hazard set up Pedro with an intelligent pass and the Spaniard tapped it in to put the visitors in the driver’s seat.

Hazard was once again in the thick of things as the Belgian outpaced three Brighton defenders to score the second and the decisive goal after Leon Balogun’s attempted pass was intercepted by Willian who played the Belgian into acres of space.

Brighton gave Chelsea a run for their money in the second half and pulled one back through Solly March but the Blues held on to their lead to bag crucial three points, keeping close ground on league leaders Liverpool.

Here is what the Nigerian international Leon Balogun had to say after the game:-

“He’s unbelievable, he’s as quick with the ball as he is without the ball, his control is magnificent, it’s very hard, you cannot control him, you can get the ball off him if he makes a mistake, but most of the time it’s just about delaying him.

“He’s a world-class player.”

When questioned about his role in Hazard’s goal, Balogun admitted: “That was an early Christmas gift from me, very annoying.”
