French football could be in for a busy summer as the two big-spenders AS Monaco and Paris St. Germain are preparing severe squad overhauls. AS Monaco have already spent big and have acquired Columbian duo Radamel Falcao and James Rodriguez, as well as Joao Moutinho of Portugal. However, it is unlikely that the spending will stop there with Club reportedly targeting Liverpool defender Daniel Agger and Manchester United winger Nani as further additions, according to French media.

Their major rivals and the other French big-spender, Paris St. Germain are also keen to bolster their squad in order to defend the league title and improve their European campaign in the following season. According to Daily Mirror, The club wants to take Chelsea defender David Luiz to the French capital. The Brazilian could team up with fellow countryman Thiago Silva in the heart of the Paris defence. The 26-year old has also been a target for Barcelona, seen as a long-awaited replacement for the ageing Carlos Puyol. Additionally The Qatari ownership will commit to  splash the budget on one or two marquee signings, who the British tabloid claim to be out-of-favor Manchester United forward Wayne Rooney or Spurs superstar Gareth Bale, who is also a target of Real Madrid.
